The comic book follows the journey of the Russian, Assassin Nikolai Orelov during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, whose genetic memories were relived by his present-day descendant, Daniel Cross. Witness the lives of two men, separated by decades, differently ideologies and wholly different worlds.

During the course of The Fall and its sequel The Chain, the story of Daniel Cross will unfold simultaneously. While Nikolai struggles with a corrupt regime and smuggling his family to safety, Daniel Cross will venture between two factions whose struggle has been going on for millennia, the Assassins and Templars.
