Transmedia Director Azaizia Aymar revealed a lot of details regarding upcoming Assassin’s Creed projects in an interview with Eurogamer!
1. Assassin’s Creed Netflix Live Action Show: Ubisoft have secured a couple of talents and are working with them on the show. Ubisoft also learnt a lot from the movie and have a really strong team behind it.
2. Assassin’s Creed Netflix Animated Series: The project is still active but it isn’t the next project in the pipeline.
3. Fragments: three young adult French comics set in three different settings: 9th Century Japan, 13th Century Scotland and 17th Century France
4. The Jade Seal Collection: an upcoming 10-novel Chinese history from the 4th until the 17th century.
5. Assassin’s Creed: Dynasty will feature new protagonists and settings.
6. The Ming Storm Shao Jun story is incoming.
7. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Blood Brothers Chinese comic
8. A Viking epic spin off featuring new characters and stories.
9. Assassin’s Creed Turbulence, a Shao Jun story is coming
10. An Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag webtoon sequel featuring Edward Kenway is announced
11. An Assassin’s Creed TV show is “cleaner” and more fitting for the franchise than a movie, since there are multiple timelines and factions (Assassins, Templars and Isu), according to Transmedia Director Azaizia Aymar.
12. Transmedia director Aymar stated that telling a story or realising something about a character in another medium (comic, novel, book..etc) DOES NOT eliminate its chance of being featured in a video game project or a TV show. “It’s Assassin’s Creed, so everything is permitted.”
13. Ubisoft is having discussion regarding a future Shao Jun Assassin’s Creed game, and they’re interested in having lore masters who stay within the project so they know exactly what’s coming next.
14. Transmedia and business development director Aymar stated that the possibility of presenting alternate universe in Assassin’s Creed is yet to be confirmed, but they could utilize it to make non-canon stories canon, as the Animus is based on Isu tech of exploring possibilities.
15.Michael Fassbender may return in the Assassin’s Creed Netflix Live Action TV show.
