Ubisoft has unveiled a gameplay footage for the upcoming DLC of Assassin’s Creed Origins, The Curse of the Pharaohs and revealed more information regarding the gameplay and some new abilities, enemies and locations, most of which were already revealed with The Hidden Ones. Here’s a recap of what has been revealed so far:
1. The Curse of the Pharaohs will feature a brand new storyline as Bayek ventures to Thebes to investigate an ancient curse infesting the regions and along the way, he will fight well-known pharaohs and monsters.
2. The level cap for Bayek will rise to Level 55.
3. Seven new abilities will be added to the abilities grid.
4. The Afterlife segments have a different set of rules. Each one with its own mystical side.
5. As players explore the Valley of the Kings, they will be notified of which of the shadows of the Pharaohs have left the afterlife and entered the realm of the living., and players will have a limited amount of time to fight them off.
6. Bayek will encounter grave robbers looting antiques from graves.
7. Bayek will fight giant beasts such as the giant scorpions depicted in the early screenshots.
Further information about The Curse of the Pharaohs have been revealed by Eurogamer and Games Radar.
1. Bayek will visit the Aaru, the Field of Reeds.
2. The Afterlife will include the Ba, along with ships and giant scorpions.
3. When players defeat an enemy in the Afterlife, they will be rewarded with “Shards of a Star”.
4. Players will be doing errands and side quests to NPCs in the afterlife areas.
5. Bayek will have to fight off the pharaohs in the afterlife in order to put them to rest.
6. The DLC will offer afterlife-exclusive mounts and there will be new unlockable outfits and other equipments with the DLC.
7. The overall playtime of the DLC is between 15-20 or even 30 hours according to Eurogamer and Games Radar, respectively.
