In a series of Tweets from Raphael Lacoste, he shared images from his vacation to Meteora, Greece, showcasing the beauty of the scenery, when asked by Rino The Bouncer (Founder of The Codex) whether he’s looking for inspiration for the next Assassin’s Creed, his response was:
I am just in Vacation and enjoying the beautiful world we have. Still. 😉

Based on the original rumor regarding Assassin’s Creed Origins (which was formerly called ‘Empire’), Bayek was set to explore ancient Greece and Rome alongside Egypt. However, due to the huge size of the map, Greece and/or Rome could be pushed to a following game, creating a trilogy starring Bayek. Here are some of the images which Raphael shared from Greece.
Assassin’s Creed Origins, like all the recent Assassin’s Creed games, has a Season Pass and it is stated to have two expansions that are yet to be announced. In the world of Assassin’s Creed, DLC episodes can sometimes explore beyond the main setting of the game, such as Freedom Cry which explored Haiti and Syndicate which explored a period much father in time from the events of the main game. So the fact that a DLC episode for AC Origins could be set in Ancient Greece isn’t very unlikely.
