In an interview with GameSpot, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Creative Director, Jonathan Dumont shed light on the present day segment of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey confirming that Layla Hassan’s story will continue, as previously confirmed close to the game’s announcement. He also added that the journey will take her to places that you’d never expect. He also added that Layla was merely introduced in Origins, but now the game will be digging into what she’s looking for.

In a previous interview, it was also confirmed that Layla Hassan will “do some traveling”, meaning that the new present day setting will likely not be the cave in Egypt from Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Dumont Also further added that dialogue options will be implemented into the present day segment of the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, as well which will allow players to be able to decide if they want to see more or less of the present day story, either by asking for more information during conversations, or being straightforward.
