An image of an unknown sources surfaced featuring what appears to be a work-in-progress of a menu screen from Assassin’s Creed: Empire, the rumored upcoming main Assassin’s Creed installment, set in Ancient Egypt, which The Codex discussed back in January 2016.

The image shows the a logo with the text “Assassin’s Creed: Empire” as well as “Admin Peter Tran”. It can also be noted from the screenshot that the screen mentions crafting as a means of upgrading armor, and a 3D model of a pyramid surrounded by 4 pillars. The models are rendered with Animus sense of art design, resembling a glass structure.

A video footage was also “leaked” later, featuring the name of the same individual “Admin Peter Tran” and showing what appears to be the main screen of Assassin’s Creed: Empire (footage on The Codex Facebook Page).

It was later confirmed by a Ubisoft PR that both the image and the video are a hoax and are not from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed, nor any of Ubisoft’s studios and Admin Peter Tran is not an employee at Ubisoft or any of its branches.
