An article on ComicBook.com claims to have insider information that the next Assassin’s Creed won’t be released until 2019, and that according to photos tweeted by Art Director, Raphael Lacoste (which The Codex reported last August, and then speculated as potential DLC for Assassin’s Creed Origins), that the setting for the next Assassin’s Creed game is Greece, and that it’s in development since 2017, before the release of Assassin’s Creed Origins. What supports this theory is the survey which Ubisoft sent out to select community members asking what future setting would they desire, among the settings was “Peloponnesian War” which took place between April 25, 431 BC – 404 BC, in Greece. The Athenian Empire (The Delian League) existed around that period, as well, and ended in 404 BCE, with the end of the Peloponnesian War.
Other rumors from last month claimed that the title of the next game is “Dynasty”. However, no official confirmation nor any tangible proof/leak which supports these theories is available at the moment, and there’s also no info. about where there will be an Assassin’s Creed game to be released in 2018 or not, nor anything regarding any E3 presence, so far. Therefore, this remains an unconfirmed rumor. Stay tuned for more updates!
