Ubisoft has just officially announced that Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is coming to PS4/Xbox One on March 20th. The game was originally released only on PS4 and Xbox 360 in 2014, with a PC release in March of the following year. The story is set in the mid-18th century during the Seven Years’ War, and follows Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin-turned-Templar who hunts down former members of his Brotherhood after being betrayed by them. Gameplay in Rogue is very similar to that of its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag with a mixture of ship-based naval exploration and third-person land-based exploration with some new features.
The game will ship with Arabic subtitles exclusively in the Middle East and North Africa, for PlayStation®4 Pro and Playstation®4 computer entertainment systems, and across the Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One X. Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered will include all of the downloadable content from the original game: two bonus missions (The Armor of Sir Gunn Quest and The Siege of Fort de Sable), as well as the Master Templar and Explorer packs, which contain weapons, customization items and special outfits, including Bayek’s legacy outfit from Assassin’s Creed® Origins.
Following Assassin’s Creed® The Ezio Collection, which brought the entirety of Ezio’s adventures to current gen, Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered further enriches the franchise’s current-gen catalogue and will shine in 4K on PlayStation®4 Pro and Xbox One X (and run 1080p on PS4™ and Xbox One). Thanks to higher resolution, improved environment rendering, visual effects and textures, Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered will offer an even more beautiful and immersive gaming experience that invites fans of the series and new players alike to discover or rediscover Shay’s adventures in 18th-century North America.
Back in November 2017, several Italian video game retailers have listed “Assassin’s Creed Rogue HD” initially suggesting the rumor, which The Codex shared with you, followed by Korean ratings for the game.
